Hans Esterhuizen – Founder

Hard work, resiliency, and a commitment to team characterize Hans’ style and personality. Hans will relocate to the acquired business and serve as CEO.

Raised in Pasco, Washington and the son of an immigrant serial entrepreneur, Hans earned an athletic scholarship to play soccer at Seattle University, where he won a Division II National Championship and earned his undergraduate degree in Business.

Upon graduation Hans joined The Sienna Group, an operating company with interests in the marketing services, real estate, multi-unit retailing, and wealth management sectors. At The Sienna Group, Hans served as the lead Analyst to the Chairman, Scott Svenson. Hans also completed his MBA at Seattle University while working full-time at The Sienna Group.

In 2009 Hans joined Freestone Capital Management, a wealth management company acquired by The Sienna Group. Hans worked his way to become a Portfolio Manager for Freestone’s real estate investments team and earned a seat on Freestone’s Investment Committee. Through building the real estate practice, and his focus on Freestone’s management operations, Hans played a central role in growing the company’s alternative investment business from $250M to $1B in assets under management. While at Freestone Hans earned his Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
